For this month we wanted to feature a wide load. So… check out this oversized shipment! It was picked up in New Mexico and delivered almost a thousand miles away in Texas.
If you had to guess how much this tank weighs, what would you say? …If you figured over 43,000 pounds then you would be right! This water tank weighs 43,800 lbs. with the full dimensions coming to:
Length: 26′ 4”
Width: 18′ 3”
Height: 12′ 9”
This over dimensional load needed a 5-axle trailer and edge protectors, followed by 8 chains to fully secure it for transportation. The width of the cargo is over double the width of the trailer, but surprisingly this is not the widest load we have delivered. Our widest load still remains at a whopping 22′.
